I work with men using Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Islamic Integrated Therapy. Together we address anxiety, depression, relationships, emotional regulation, and identity concerns.
About
MSc Psychology of Mental Health & Well-Being, University of Wolverhampton • BSc Psychology, University of Toronto
My approach integrates modern evidence-based psychology within a holistic framework that nurtures the mind, heart, and soul. I was born in Cairo but left Egypt at the age of four, growing up across the USA and Canada while frequently returning home. Moving during my childhood gave me a deep appreciation for both the uniqueness of each individual and the universal threads that connect us all.
My journey of discovery has been both external and internal. I’ve traveled widely, exploring diverse cultures to better understand the human soul and psyche. Along the way, I immersed myself in practices and experiences such as meditation, yoga, expressive art therapy, sound healing, and psychoanalysis. These explorations opened my heart and mind to the many ways people seek meaning, healing, and connection.
Books have also been lifelong companions, and I’ve read extensively on psychology and spirituality to deepen my understanding of the human experience and the relationship between well-being and purpose.
All of these experiences—personal, academic, and professional—shape the way I show up for my clients today: with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep belief in every person’s capacity to heal, grow, and return to their truest self.
What I offer
A range of evidence-based and spiritually integrated modalities, drawn on according to what each person needs.
Explore formative experiences and relationship patterns that shape your present. Insight that leads to durable change.
Challenge unhelpful thoughts and build new behaviours that reduce anxiety and low mood.
Mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.
Meet the different “parts” of yourself with curiosity and compassion. IFS helps unburden protective patterns and reconnect you with a calm, grounded core Self.
Attend to emotional and spiritual well-being together—drawing on the Qur’an and Prophetic tradition alongside evidence-based methods, and informed by contemporary models of Islamic psychology that centre the heart (qalb) and soul (ruh).
A spiritually grounded, somatic approach that integrates Islamic spiritual psychology with embodied presence—addressing the unity of body, mind, soul, heart, and spirit.
Focus areas
Male adults and adolescents seeking purpose, clarity, and alignment.
Panic, general worry, health anxiety, and rumination cycles.
Loss of motivation, numbness, self-criticism, and isolation.
Attachment patterns, conflict cycles, boundaries, and communication.
Life changes, career stress, perfectionism, and self-doubt.
Scrupulosity/waswasa, guilt, meaning, and values alignment.
Intense emotions, impulsivity, and distress tolerance skills.
How I work
Integrating and aligning the Nafs (self), ‘Aql (intellect), Qalb (heart), and Ruh (spirit).
Together we give attention to every dimension: clarifying the mind’s patterns, nurturing the heart’s wisdom, and orienting the soul toward what is meaningful and enduring. Through this integration, insight is combined with practice—developing tools for resilience in daily life while deepening self-knowledge and spiritual grounding.
